Brook Road could have been designed to be a link road through to North Heath Lane, via Drake Close, due to the fact both pieces of ground were registered at the same time and both street almost line up when seen from a map perspective. This plan might have been rejected due to the fact it would have been like a rat run from one side to the other, even though a cut-through was eventually built via Jackdaw Lane & Coltsfoot Drive.

Fay Road 1955-58
This cul-de-sac was built on a field and an entry was made onto Ashleigh Road. The land was developed by a company by A.G.V Avon. A lady by the name of Mrs Leith of No.8 Ashleigh Road christened the road Fay Road. This was a tribute to her family, this was mentioned in WSCT 15th April 1955. The price for one of these bungalows was recorded as £3,650 or £87,108.71, according to an advertisement from WSCT 21st November 1958. The estate takes its name from the Ballynafoy a house built in Ashleigh Road. The site was registered with HMLR 15/03/1956.

Located off North Heath Lane, Chennells Way is a road that meanders south to north, ending at Sorrell Road. This area of Horsham is distinctively linked to the name Chennell, originating from the two motte and bailey castles built here, twenty years post the Battle of Hastings in 1066. William de Chernela, who used one of these castles as a hunting lodge, is the source of the name Chennell. Subsequently, Chennells Farm emerged, featuring a farmhouse dating back to 1295-96, as evidenced by a wood survey.
Construction commenced on the site along North Heath Lane in 1978, culminating in 1983. This period saw the transformation of the fields between North Heath Lane and the railway line. The initial phase of building started above Allcard Close, with the creation of roads named after agricultural professions. These included Wain End, Reapers Close, Harvesters, Thatchers Close, Wheatsheaf Close, and Plough Lane, all developed in the late 1970s. A subsequent phase in 1980 saw the extension of Chennells Way, turning left and heading northward towards the Holbrook Club.
With farming occupations fully represented, developers shifted their naming inspiration to wild shrubs. This led to the introduction of Coltsfoot Drive, Campion Road, Sorrell Road, Yarrow Close, Speedwell Way, Trefoil Close, and Bluebell Close into Horsham's landscape. An exception was made with the penultimate cul-de-sac, Kestrel Close, one of the final additions, whose choice of a bird of prey as its name is intriguing. Notably, Chennells Farm estate represents John Laing's largest housing project in the Horsham district. Designed by Clifford Culpin & Partners.
